The Environmental Health Office includes a County Environmental Health Specialist inspector
which is responsible for inspecting all permanent and temporary food establishments, such as bars,
restaurants, schools, groceries, convenience stores, festivals food stands and farmers food markets,
etc.
The county inspector conducts food-borne illness investigations, educational programs and
follow-up on all food-related consumer complaints. Investigations include food establishment fires,
food-related vehicle accidents and responds to health issues complaints. Any new establishments or
ones undergoing remodeling or renovation are subject to a facility plan review and related
inspections.
